Forward Mark Madsen, on the inactive list last night because of a sore
left knee, said he might opt for arthroscopic surgery to mend his sore
left knee if other treatment options are ruled out. Madsen was scheduled
to be examined after the game by Dr. David Fischer, the team's orthopedic
surgeon.
The 6-9 veteran went through what he called an "explosive" workout supervised
by physical therapist Andre Deloya and a Wolves assistant coach earlier in
the day. Said Madsen: "The key is how it responds."
Among his treatment options: another cortisone shot or what he termed a
"lubricant" shot. But if the knee swells up again, he might favor surgery
to address cartilage and cyst issues and begin a healing process.
