Perhaps the most interesting thing to come out of the Wolves' 78-71 victory
Saturday in Indianapolis wasn't that they came back after the Indiana Pacers
opened the game with a 20-4 run.

It wasn't just that the Wolves forced the Pacers to shoot 7-for-36 in the
second half, score just 21 points -- the lowest total in a half for an
opponent in Wolves history and the lowest total in a half in the Pacers'
history. It wasn't that the Wolves outrebounded the Pacers 31-18 in the
second half, held Indiana to 12 points in the paint in that time or held the
Pacers, who love to push the ball, to two fast-break points in that half.
    不是灰狼讓溜馬在下半場出手36次命中7球，三、四兩節只得到21分 -- 這不僅是灰狼

It was the collection of players who accomplished that.

The Wolves got themselves back into the game in the second quarter using
mainly reserves. Ditto in the third quarter, and again in the fourth. Turns
out it was Randy Foye, Marko Jaric, Troy Hudson and the like who helped the
Wolves change the game.

At least one starter vital to the Wolves' success liked what he saw, both in

"I think the second group has been tested," said Kevin Garnett, who led all

you're not ready other guys will play."

Hmmm. Whether or not Casey was looking to send a message with his rotation
Saturday, it appears Garnett was sending one afterward.

"I'm glad the second unit came in and gave us a little boost," he said. "They
were the difference in the game."

Foye stands out

On the surface, Foye's numbers weren't especially impressive. He was the
Wolves' second-leading scorer. But in nearly 24 minutes he scored only 10
points and got just one assist, ultimately fouling out near the end of the
game.

But his defensive play was impressive.

Indiana guard Jamaal Tinsley was on fire in the first half, hard to find in
the second. Down the stretch in the fourth quarter he made just one of six
shots.

Credit Foye for that. And count Garnett among the most impressed. Indeed,
after the game Garnett gave Foye a mighty compliment when asked about the
rookie's defensive play in the final 12 minutes.

"Randy is a strong guard," Garnett said. "I think Randy has the rare

Casey was thrilled with the way his team bounced back Saturday, breaking a
four-game losing streak with strong defensive play.

But, just minutes after the game, he wasn't interested in reflecting on the
defense. He was worried about the offense. The Wolves shot just 39.2 percent.
Even in the second half, when the team turned a 10-point deficit into a
seven-point victory, the Wolves struggled with their shooting, going
13-for-34.
    不過就在賽後沒多久，他就不再對於球隊傑出的防守表現感到洋洋得意。他開始擔心
起球隊的進攻，灰狼在這場比賽投籃命中率低到只有39.2%。儘管在下半場，灰狼不僅追回
了10分的差距還以7分之差擊敗了對手，但他們在進攻端確實遭遇了不小的問題，一共只有
投34中13的不及格表現。

"I think we got our defense back, but we can't forget that we didn't shoot
the ball well," Casey said.

Casey has to feel like he's always trying to fix something. During the
Wolves' four-game losing streak the team was clicking on offense but lacking
defense. Saturday it won with defense despite a sluggish offense.

沒了防守。星期六卻反過來，進攻方面一蹋糊塗，硬是靠著下半場固若金湯的防守辛苦地
拿下一場勝利。

"One of these nights we're going to get our offense and defense going
together," he said. "I was happy our guys were able to get a road win in a
tough place."
    "曾經也有過某個晚上球隊在攻守兩端都有好表現，"他說。"我真的很高興球隊能在難
以攻破的球場拿下客場勝利。"
