Timberwolves center Mark Blount isn't a great rebounder. He has a difficult
time guarding physical centers. And he's prone to turnovers.

But one thing Blount can do is shoot jump shots. He entered Saturday's game
at New Jersey ranked 13th in the NBA in field-goal accuracy (53.4 percent).
His shooting on the road was even better (54.8 percent).

"He's very unassuming in his play, so much so that you think he's not getting

Blount made 7 of 10 shots en route to 15 points during the Wolves' 100-92
loss to the Nets on Saturday.

Blount's outside shooting complements frontcourt mate Kevin Garnett because

But Blount provides a different element, and Casey takes advantage of it.

"A lot of our sets are for our big men to have jump shots," Casey said.
"That's who we are. There's a few matchups we can go down into the post, but
him against Yao Ming, him against Shaq in the post is not a good matchup.
Now, you put Mark Blount out on the perimeter at 15, 16 feet against Yao
Ming, I'll take that matchup all day."

In his previous eight games before facing the Nets, Blount averaged 14 points
on 57 percent shooting.

and practices hard. He lifts (weights) hard. I appreciate a player like that."

Four in five nights: Saturday's game marked the fourth game in five nights
for the Wolves. It was their third, and final, such set of games this season.
Casey said playing four games in five nights took a toll on his team against
New Jersey, but he said that wasn't an excuse for the loss.

This latest set was more difficult because of the long flights. After playing
at home Tuesday against Chicago (a 100-98 win), the Wolves traveled to
Toronto (a 100-97 loss), then returned home to face Seattle (101-82 win) on
Friday before flying to New Jersey. It's one more argument for why the Wolves
should play in the Eastern Conference instead of the Western.

"We're closer to Milwaukee, closer to Chicago, closer to Cleveland than we
are to Denver, Seattle and Utah," Casey said. "But that's way out of my
(control)."

The Nets also were playing their fourth game in five nights.

his team win games. Casey is aware of the risks of playing Foye significant
minutes, but he said the Newark, N.J., native learns quickly from his
mistakes.

"I trust young players," Casey said. "A lot of NBA coaches would probably
think I'm dumb. But I enjoy developing young kids. I know that doesn't bode
well for job security because a lot of time that doesn't develop into wins. …
 One night he'll look like a million dollars and the next night, he doesn't
know what side of the floor he's on."

相信Foye：Casey說他相信Randy Foye所以給了他不少上場時間，
