*TORI ANNOUNCES SEPTEMBER 21ST RELEASE OF NEW "TO VENUS AND BACK"
DOUBLE ALBUM*
With her upcoming "5 1/2 Weeks Tour" set to get underway in just a few
weeks, Tori Amos has announced the September 21st release of her new
double album "TO VENUS AND BACK." Featuring live renditions from the
recent "FROM THE CHOIRGIRL HOTEL" tour, the album will also include 12
new Amos penned/produced tracks. Among the new songs are "Bliss,"
which explores father-and-daughter ties, and "Glory Of The '80s" about
Amos' time as a working musician in Reagan-era Los Angeles. The
as-yet-to-be-determined first single is scheduled to hit radio on
August 6th with a commercial single likely to follow. Of the new
album, Tori remarks, "I had originally thought we were tracking stuff
for the B-Sides album, and all of these songs kept coming. The writing
gods decided to stop by, and you try and be there when the muse decides
she wants to hang out with you." The "5 1/2 Weeks Tour," which will
see Tori sharing a double bill with Alanis Morissette, kicks off August
18th in Ft. Lauderda!

In related news. designer Steve Madden unveiled a new fashion shoe
named after Tori Amos July 1st, with proceeds benefiting RAINN (Rape,
Abuse & Incest National Network). The shoe will be available at Steve
Madden stores nationwide and at the Steve Madden Website, as will
additional promotions -- including a contest to win tickets to the
Tori Amos/Alanis Morissette concerts as well as on the Steve Madden
