*NEW TORI AMOS VIDEO AVAILABLE ON INSTAVID, "BLISS" SINGLE AVAILABLE FOR
DOWNLOAD AT MOST ONLINE RETAILERS!!*
The most important 5 1/2 Weeks of 1999 got underway on Wednesday night when
Tori Amos and Alanis Morissette kicked off their co-headlining tour in Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida. Tori and Alanis will remain in the sunshine state for
tomorrow night's show at the Ice Palace in Tampa, and then head north to
Atlanta (see the Tour Database for a complete itinerary). The 5 1/2 Weeks
Tour may not make it to a town near you for, well...5 1/2 Weeks. But that
doesn't mean you have to wait that long to hear songs from Tori's highly
anticipated upcoming album, TO VENUS AND BACK, which hits streets September
21st. The first single, "Bliss," is already playing on radio stations across
the country, and now you can see the video for "Bliss" on the Atlantic site's
INSTAVID channel!
In other Tori news, MTV will air a portion of Amos' recent online
performance "Live & Unrehearsed" on the Sunday, August 22nd episode of 120
Minutes. This very special event, which was cybercast live on Monday night,
August 16th, found Tori previewing material for the 5 1/2 Weeks Tour. Her
set consisted of 7 songs: "God"; "Bliss"; "Hey Jupiter"; "Merman"; "1,000
Oceans"; "Sugar"; and "Cornflake Girl." Go to the Atlantic site to see some
pictures from the cybercast performance, which was presented by MTV.com and
Sonicnet.com, and stay tuned for details regarding an upcoming re-broadcast!
In what is sure to prove an historical event, Tori and Atlantic Records have
announced that "Bliss" will be offered as a secure downloadable track for
purchase via multiple online retailers beginning August 13th. This marks the
first time that a major label artist has made a downloadable single
commercially available across-the-board throughout the Internet retail
community. Among the participating online retailers are: Musicland,
Wherehouse, CDNOW, Tower Records, Transworld Entertainment, Virgin, EveryCD,
and others. Over a dozen independent outlets have also signed up, including
Music Millennium, Waterloo Records, Twist and Shout, and Compact Disc World,
among many others.
Coinciding with the release of "Bliss" as a commercial downloadable single,
"1,000 Oceans," a second new song from TO VENUS AND BACK, is also hitting
radio stations, and both songs will be commercially released in CD5 and CD,
cassette, and vinyl single versions.

好神奇，還真的是一個月推兩隻單曲
好像台灣打推薦曲的速度 :pp
反正tori幾乎沒見過有單曲上過top 40，
不知道這次先推電台的點撥率能不能在榜上有點成績？
