<From TennisWeek Apr 28> James Blake and Justin Gimelstob headline a homecoming on clay and you can attend ?free of charge. The Yonkers-born Blake and New Jersey native Gimelstob are among the entries for the Forest Hills Clay Court Classic, scheduled for May 7-14th at the legendary West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills. Top-seeded Jeff Morrison, Jan-Michael Gambill and defending champion Juan Pablo Guzman join Blake and Gimelstob in the draw of the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit Event, a tune-up for the French Open. "With 10 of the 22 direct entries in the draw having been ranked in the top 100 in the world, the talent and competitiveness of this year旧 tournament is better than ever," tournament director Dina Ingersole said. "It is fitting that The West Side Tennis Club, with its long history of being a showcase for the world旧 top tennis talent, is hosting The Forest Hills Clay Court Classic and giving New Yorkers the opportunity to see world class tennis up close." Admission is free to the tournament matches from the qualifying on May 7-8th through the semifinals on May 13th. Admission to the finals on May 14 is $10 for adults; $5 for children. Tickets will be sold at the gate. During tournament week, The West Side Tennis Club is also hosting Tennis and Jazz in Times Square on Tuesday, May 10th. A concert by jazz great David Sanborn and exhibition tennis with tournament players, tennis wheelchair champions including two-time Paralympian Karin Korb, and Olympians from NYC2012旧 Circle of Olympians, including gold medalists Sarah Hughes and Oksana Baiul, will be open to the public from 1-5 p.m. in the Times Square Studios at Broadway and West 44th Street. "New York City is very excited to welcome these top international tennis players from around the world," said Wendy Hilliard, NYC2012旧 Director of Sports. "As we approach the final stages of the 2012 Olympic bid process, The Forest Hills Clay Court Classic and Tennis and Jazz in Times Square are terrific examples of the city旧 dedication to promoting and showcasing Olympic sports on a grand stage." Other activity during the Forest Hills Clay Court Classic tournament week includes youth tennis clinics, a wheelchair tennis exhibition on Wednesday, May 11th and dinner and a jazz concert with saxophonist Geoff Mattoon on Friday evening, May 13th, all at The West Side Tennis Club.
