Question: All right, who's coming back?

問：告訴我們下個球季有誰會被留下來？

Answer: You waited all this time for a 'no comment'? (Laughs.)

答：你等這麼久就是為了聽我說一句「無法奉告」嗎？（笑）

Question: Would you be surprised that Carlos Boozer says he sees his future
being in Utah? And do you believe he's being sincere?

問：布瑟說他的未來在猶他，你聽到的時候有嚇到嗎？
    你覺得他是真心誠意這麼說的嗎？

Answer: We've had that discussion before and I always thought that that's
what he's told us. The only thing I can go on is what he's told us. ... I
wouldn't comment on (Boozer's sincerity). My wife's never accused me of being
a mind-reader. I don't know. This is a business decision. Everybody makes
decisions based on what's good for them, so we'll obviously have to evaluate
(it).

Question: You had a tough one when John Stockton retired and Karl Malone
left, but will this be your most challenging offseason?

問：馬史退休的那段時間想必你這個位置坐得很不安穩，
    但你覺得今年會變成你最具挑戰性的一次休季期嗎？

Answer: No, no. I think that one (was), when John and Karl left. Like I keep
saying, Jerry (Sloan) really screwed up and won 41 games that year or else we
might have Dwight Howard. (Laughs.) No, I don't think it is for a couple of
reasons. One, I think we've got some good players here already and, two, it's
really not in our hands. Certain players have the option to opt out and then
we have to make some decisions. ... I think what you look forward to is
hopefully that there's opportunities whichever way they go. … You have to be
prepared. You have to be prepared to make hard decisions. And then you've got
to be prepared to live with those decisions whatever they are. … I think
there will be roster changes, how many there'll be I can't say.

答：你錯啦，馬史不在那次才是最煎熬的，我常跟每個人講，
    一切都是被史隆搞砸的，一堆蝦兵蟹將還莫名其妙贏了四十一場，
    不然的話現在魔獸早就在我們隊上啦...（笑）
    好啦，我跟你說我不覺得今年會很糟糕的幾個原因：
    第一，我們已經有個不錯的陣容，第二，留不留得住也不是我說了算，
    要看幾個有權跳脫的人要不要跳，我們才能做決定...
    我們只能期盼在做這些艱難決定時我們已經有過周詳的考慮，
    不管決定正確與否，日子都還是得過下去的對吧...
    我只能確切告訴你陣容會有調整，但幅度多大仍是未知數。

Question: Given the state of the economy, do you think you could have a
payroll that's pushing $70 million or so next season even if it's above the
luxury tax threshold?

問：以現在金融衰退的慘狀來看，
    球隊下季是否願意支付高達七千萬、甚至包括豪華稅的薪水？

Answer: I think we'll make basketball decisions based on what's good for the
Jazz, because I don't think you want to take a short-term look at things; you
want to take a long-term look at things — and that's what we'll do. We
haven't had that meeting yet or that discussion yet (about exceeding the
threshold), and (Jazz CEO Greg Miller has) indicated he'd like to stay
aggressive. But I can't speak to that.

答：一切決定都將以為了讓爵士更好為前提，
    端看你是要追求立即效果或是做長遠打算，
    是否要支付豪華稅這件事我們還沒開會討論過，
    小老闆目前只有指示要讓球隊「保持競爭力」，所以我不能多說什麼。

Question: How much did Mehmet Okur's absence in the playoffs show to you guys
that you can't live without him?

問：歐庫在季後賽的缺席是否間接反映這支球隊不能沒有他？

Answer: Look, there's a lot of guys we couldn't live without. So, did we miss
Memo? Sure. The Jazz organization and everybody else, do we want Memo back?
Yeah. Would it be nice to have played this whole year with all of those guys?
… I know defensively we don't have a shot-blocker and all of that. We can
talk all that we want. Those are the toughest things in the league to get and
there aren't many of them. But could we have been more competitive than we
were with everybody healthy? Yeah. I don't think we, maybe the last three or
four games of the year, that we had everybody really in game shape to play.
Then we lost Memo the last two games (and the first three games of the
playoffs).

答：拜託，少誰都不行，所以你問我們需不需要歐庫？答案當然是肯定的。
    整支球隊還有相關的每個人都希望他能及時回來的話有多好。
    或者不如這麼說吧，如果我們能夠全隊健康地打一整季該有多好...
    當然我也知道防守層面上我們確實少了一個能搧鍋的大個子，
    但說是一回事，放眼整個聯盟也不是你想要誰就能得到誰啊，
    如果現在的陣容當初能夠健健康康的，也許就能有足夠的競爭力，
    我想球季最後幾場比賽我們並沒有讓每個球員都保持在最佳狀態，
    歐庫的五場缺賽只能說是雪上加霜。

Question: The NBA Draft comes before Boozer, Okur and Kyle Korver have to opt
in or out of their Jazz contracts. Not knowing what your roster will look
like, how difficult does that make your job for the draft?

問：選秀會在幾個球員的跳脫期限前舉行，
    在不知道球員決定為何的情況下，
    挑選新秀的工作會變得有多困難？

Answer: Not at all. You draft the best players. We're not drafting in the top
three or four. … We would take the best player. We're drafting 20th. There's
going to be 19 pretty ladies go before us.

答：一點也不困難啊，選那個順位能選的最佳球員就是了，
    我們又不是在樂透區裡頭挑，我們是第二十順位哩，
    前面已經有十九個好貨讓人揀走啦，剩下的誰最好當然就挑他囉。
