Sloan honored

   Now Jerry Sloan just needs a fabulous April to complete his collection.

    The Jazz's 13-4 start to the season earned Sloan the eighth Coach of the
Month plaque of his career, the NBA announced Friday. It's the first time the
19-year Jazz coach has won the award for November, however, leaving April as
the only month of the NBA season he hasn't won the honor.

  爵士十三勝四負的開季讓史隆得到他第八個單月最佳教練獎項。
  這是教練第一次在十一月獲獎, 他只有在四月不曾得過這個獎。

    Sloan, who guided the Jazz to a 12-1 start, also won his 900th game with
the Jazz during the month, and he enters December just three victories away
from his 1,000th as an NBA coach. Sloan also won the honor in December 1993;
January 1995; March 1997; March 1998; February 1999; March 2000, and February
2001. 

  史隆帶領爵士打出十二勝一負的戰績, 也在本月拿下在爵士的第九百勝,
  到十一月結束時, 他距生涯一千勝只有三場之遙。史隆過去曾在其他月份得獎:
  1993年十二月、1995年一月、1997年三月、1998年三月、1999年二月、
  2000年三月, 及2001年二月。
