Spurs-Jazz notebook Web Posted: 05/19/2007 01:46 AM CDT San Antonio Express-News Back to practice: Knowing there was a possibility they would have a week of rest between the end of their second-round series against Golden State and the start of the Western Conference finals, the Utah Jazz had a hard workout with doses of full-court scrimmaging Friday morning. "I didn't think they needed to stay in bed," coach Jerry Sloan said. "They needed to knock heads a little bit." Guard Derek Fisher, who was suffering from allergies, did not participate fully in the practice, instead spending much of the workout riding a stationary bike. Sloan said he wasn't worried about Fisher's ability to contribute in the upcoming series. Boozer on Duncan: Even though the Spurs and Suns hadn't yet decided who would have the opportunity to face Utah when the Jazz practiced Friday morning, forward Carlos Boozer sounded like he already had a pretty good scouting report on the Spurs' Tim Duncan. "He's probably the best post-up player we have in the world," Boozer said. "He has every move, he has poise, he never gets rattled. You can send a double-team at him, (but) he's 7-feet and he'll pass out of the double-team. If he has single coverage, he'll face you up and shoot off the glass, get the layup, spin-move baseline, right hook, left hook, fadeaway. He can do whatever he wants down there." No must-see TV: While several Jazz players said they were paying close attention to telecasts of the Spurs-Suns series, Sloan said he had no interest in doing so. "I'm more intimidated by them when I watch these teams (on TV)," Sloan said. "I don't like to be intimidated until the game starts." - Mike Finger http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/basketball/nba/ spurs/stories/MYSA051907.07C.BKNjazz.notebook.3b922e8.html -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.41.38.5
