Utah Jazz: Slump doesn't dent Boozer's confidence

There's still at least one game left for Carlos Boozer to get going against
Houston in the Jazz's first-round playoff series. If he's at all concerned
about things, though, Boozer wasn't letting on at Monday's practice.

雖然跟火箭的系列賽至少還有一場要打，
週一練球時阿布卻未對自己近來顧人怨的表現透露隻字片語的擔心。

"I know I'm playing well," Boozer said. "I haven't shot the ball very well,
but my team is up 3-1 and there's more basketball to be played."

「我沒有打得不好啊，」阿布語帶委屈：「人家只是射不進球...」
「反正我們隊還不是贏了三場，接下來還有很多時間慢慢練嘛～」

Boozer went 3-for-13 in Saturday's victory and finished with 14 points and 14
rebounds. He has been bothered by everything from missed free throws to foul
trouble and has yet to match his season scoring average (21.1 points) in any
of the series' first four games.

阿布上場比賽十三投僅三中，不過還是給他騙到十四分十四籃板。
季後賽開打以來，他就不斷為罰球過爛、犯規過多等問題所困擾，
而且沒有半場比賽得分達到他季賽平均的廿一分標準。

"I know I'm a great player," Boozer said. "I'm just going to keep playing,
keep doing the other things that are helping my team win and I know my shots
are going to fall tomorrow night. Make sure you all come and show up."

「我只要繼續打、繼續做那些能幫球隊贏球的其他雜活兒，」

Boozer did hit his last shot in Game 4, a 12-footer off the pick-and-roll
with Deron Williams. For the most part, though, the Jazz have had trouble
getting the ball to Boozer, who has been guarded by Dikembe Mutombo, Chuck
Hayes and Carl Landry.

阿布上場比賽最後一次進球是在小胖屁啃肉的幫忙下投進，
然而綜觀整場比賽，球幾乎很難穩穩地交到阿布手上，
因為要碼就是沐湯伯，不然就是海椰子跟懶追你在看守著他。

"We definitely wish we could get Booz the ball more," Williams said. "The way
they're defending him, they're not helping off of him, and when they do,
they're bringing a guy from the weak side over, so the pick-and-rolls, it's
hard to get to him."

「讓阿布有機會持球當然是多多益善，」小胖如此說道，
「只是他們對他的防守已經到了寸步不離的地步，」
「而且還會有人從弱邊過來幫忙，要跟他屁啃肉就變得難上許多。」

Boozer, meanwhile, said the ideal scenario would be for the Jazz to close out
the Rockets tonight and open the conference semifinals against the L.A.
Lakers on Sunday. "We'd like to move on with the series and get ready for the
next round," he said.

阿布同時還做了個美夢，希望能在今晚的比賽終結掉火箭，
好讓阿爵跟湖人的第二輪決賽能夠在星期天開打。
「早死早超生哪～」真不知道他說的是火箭還是自己？！

Ronnie Brewer finished 11th in voting for the NBA's Most Improved Player
Award, which was won by Orlando's Hedo Turkoglu on Monday. Brewer received
one first-place vote, two second-place votes and one third-place vote.

小酒在年度最佳進步獎的投票中位列十一，
他得到一張第一名、兩張第二名跟一張第三名的選票。

After playing in only 56 games as a rookie, Brewer became a full-time starter
in his second year and raised his scoring average from 4.6 to 12.0 points per
game. Brewer scored in double figures in 53 of the 76 games he played.

菜鳥球季只有五十六場比賽有機會上場的他，
第二個球季已經成為球隊固定先發得分後衛，
平均得分也從4.6分一舉攀升至12.0分。
本季七十六場比賽有五十三場他的得分在二位數以上。

Williams, who finished third in voting for the award last season, received
votes again this year. Then again, so did Shaquille O'Neal, who picked up a
second-place vote from one of the 125 sportswriters and broadcasters.

去年得票數第三高的小胖，今年也獲得部分人的青睞，
另外季中轉到太陽的大歐竟然也有一張第二名的選票！

Don't expect to see the Jazz go 0-for-14 from three-point range again if
coach Jerry Sloan can help it. Sloan said he thought the Jazz tried to bury
the Rockets in Game 4 with their shooting instead of punishing them inside.

阿爵上場比賽三分線外十四球全數落空的窘狀令人記憶猶新，
教皇說這些小鬼光想著要用外線射爆人家，而忘了要到內線逞兇鬥狠。

Sloan made reference to the title of a book his old Baltimore Bullets
teammate (and Chicago Bulls coach) Johnny "Red" Kerr joked about one day
writing: "Ten Years In The Pivot Without the Ball."

教皇甚至還借用了一個古早隊友講過的冷笑話，
告訴他的子弟們：沒有天天在過年的啦！

Although his name was brought up Monday in a Chicago Tribune story about the
Bulls search for a new head coach, Jazz assistant Tyrone Corbin said he had
not been contacted by the team. Corbin does have Chicago ties after playing
in college at DePaul.

雖然芝加哥媒體在公牛新任總教練人選中提到了他的名字，
阿爵的助理教練郭冰發誓他絕對沒跟公牛制服組通過電話。

郭冰大學念的是芝加哥的帝波大學。

Injury report

傷停時間

Paul Millsap stayed home from practice with a migraine but traveled to
Houston and is expected to play tonight. Rookie center Kyrylo Fesenko,
inactive for the first four games of the series, suffered a sprained left
ankle in practice.

米爺因為偏頭痛而缺席了練球，
但他稍後還是隨隊來到休士頓。
今晚的比賽他應該會上場。

菜鳥吠三顆前四戰都未被起用，
但是他卻在練球時扭傷了左踝。
