Jazz notes: Hart's family big fans of Lakers

LOS ANGELES -- In his first year with the Jazz, guard Jason Hart is back in
his hometown for the playoffs, a member of a team playing in the Western
Conference semifinals.

因著本次西區準決賽之便，
哈特得以在此時返鄉探親。

There's just one problem.

只是有個問題令他左右為難。

"My whole family is Laker fans," acknowledged Hart, who grew up 15 minutes
south of Staples Center and played at Inglewood High. "They root for me, but
the rest of the time they want to see the Lakers."

「我們全家都是湖人迷...」哈特說。
他的老家離湖人主場只有15分鐘車程，
而且他高中的時候也在這兒的學校打球。
「我上場的時候他們當然是幫我加油啦，但其他時間...」

Hart is one of three Los Angeles-area products on the Jazz roster, with
Jarron Collins having grown up in Granada Hills and Kyle Korver in Paramount,
before his family moved to Iowa when he was in sixth grade.

哈特其實只是隊上三個與洛城有著淵源的球員其中之一，
柯林斯跟柯沃的童年都是在洛杉磯地區度過，
只是柯沃六年級的時候就搬回愛荷華州去了。

"My allegiances have definitely changed throughout the years," Korver said.
"I wasn't a big Philly fan before I went there. I used to be a big Laker fan.
Wasn't a real big fan of the Jazz, to be honest. I mean, they were OK, but I
liked the Lakers so much. Now everything obviously has changed."

「支持的球隊是會隨時間改變的啦，」柯沃說，
「我以前也不愛費城啊，我是湖人的大粉絲，」
「老實說，那時候我也覺得猶他普普，沒啥感覺，」
「當然現在什麼都不一樣啦～」他強調。

Collins said that while his family and friends are Jazz supporters, he could
sense local fans jumping aboard the Lakers bandwagon during the playoffs.

柯林斯說雖然他的家人朋友都支持爵士，
但本地人嘛，一到了季後賽什麼都變了。

"They seem as though they're destined to get in the championship series and
what not," Collins said. "We have a very good team and we're looking at that
and we're trying to win here. We're not here just to be the team the Lakers
beat in the second round of the playoffs."

「看起來他們早已認定湖人一定會打到總冠軍戰了，」
「但是我們也不想示弱，我們想要在這兒拿下勝利，」
「我們不想只是當"在第二輪被淘汰的那支球隊"。」

Deron Williams said he wouldn't have known unless told by reporters, but the
Jazz went into Game 2 against the Lakers not having lost consecutive games in
2008.

一直要到記者提醒他這件事兒，
小胖才發現爵士2008年還沒連敗過。

They dropped both ends of a back-to-back set of games against the Lakers and
Boston in the last week of December. Since then, the Jazz had answered each
of their 14 subsequent losses with a victory.

上次連敗是在去年12月底分別輸給湖人與賽爾提克。

"I think we are a team that's able to be mature and learn from our mistakes,"
Carlos Boozer said. "We just watched the Hornets and the Spurs [Monday]
night. We don't want that to be us. We don't want to go back home down 0-2."

「我認為我們是一支能迅速從失敗中學到教訓的成熟球隊，」
騙人布說：「我們昨晚有看馬刺對黃蜂的第二戰，」

度假計畫

Both Mehmet Okur and Korver will take part in the NBA's Basketball Without
Borders program this summer. If the Jazz season is over, Okur will head to
Istanbul, Turkey, from June 4-7 while Korver will be part of the first-ever
New Delhi, India, trip on July 3-6.

今年夏天歐庫與柯沃都參與了NBA無界籃球的計畫，
假如爵士開始放暑假，歐庫6/4-6/7會回伊士坦堡，
柯沃則是6/3-6/6要去印度新德里。

Korver said he was planning to travel to India early to visit Mother Teresa's
orphanage in Calcutta.

柯沃說他計畫早一點抵達，
好造訪德蕾莎修女的孤兒院。

...話說這日程安排豈不是擺明了...

Future MVP?

言之過早

Williams plays with a similar chip on his shoulder as Kobe Bryant - "Our
whole team plays with that," he said - and was asked Wednesday if he winning
an MVP award was on his list of career goals.

在自身球隊中角色幾與對手Kobe一般吃重的蝶龍，
被記者問到MVP獎項是否也是他生涯計畫的目標之一，
這小子難得謙虛地說：「我想我們"全隊"都是MVP。」

...你確定？

"It's something attainable," Williams said. "It's possible. I don't think
about it. I just try to help my team win and everything else will take care
of itself."

「MVP的夢想並非遙不可及，」蝶龍說：「只是我現在不去想它。」
「我只想幫助我的球隊贏球，其他的事兒水到自然會渠成。」
