Jazz point guard Deron Williams has a "bruised left elbow," but he said he
was doing OK after his team's 112-104 victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game
 6 of the opening round of the NBA playoffs Friday night.

"I'll be alright," said Williams.

The Jazz's star guard sustained the injury during the closing seconds of
Utah's series-clinching victory when he went down after a collision with
Denver forward Chris Andersen.

Andersen was setting a screen on the play, and Williams went down and grabbed
his wrist after running into the Denver big man.

Williams was then seen hobbling off the court when the final buzzer sounded,
leaving Jazz fans to worry about the fate of their star point guard. However,
he seemed to suggest afterward that he would alright.

Having a healthy Williams against the Lakers, starting with Game 1 on Sunday
in L.A., is clearly of vital importance to the Jazz.

Williams finished with 14 points and 10 assists in Game 6, and his play in the
opening round against the Nuggets was not lost on veteran Denver point guard
Chauncey Billups afterward.

"Deron, man, he was awesome," said Billups.
