The Jazz went 1 for 2 on Tuesday, when the NBA announced its individual
award-winners for the month of March.

For the eighth time in his 20-year run with the Utah Jazz, Jerry Sloan
was named the Western Conference Coach of the Month. But New Orleans' Chris
Paul was named the conference's Player of the Month, edging a short list of
other nominees that included the Utah's Deron Williams, Houston's Tracy
McGrady and Phoenix' Amare Stoudemire.

這是Sloan生涯第8次獲此殊榮，
西區當月最佳球員的得主則是Paul，
險勝其他幾位被提名的D-will、T-MAC跟Amare。

Sloan guided the Jazz to a 12-4 record in March, including six wins over
playoff-bound teams. Utah averaged 113.4 points and shot 52.7 percent from
the field in those 16 games.

爵士三月戰績總結12勝4敗，其中6勝來自強隊，
這16場比賽爵士平均113.4分，52.7%命中率。

Boston's Doc Rivers was named the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month
after leading the Celtics went 13-3 record, including wins over Detroit, San
Antonio, Houston, Phoenix and New Orleans.

裡頭有5場都是硬仗。

Other nominees for the awards were Sam Vincent of Charlotte, Flip
Saunders of Detroit, Rick Adelman of Houston, Byron Scott of New Orleans,
Maurice Cheeks of Philadelphia and Gregg Popovich of San Antonio.

其他被提名的教練包括山貓、活塞、火箭、黃蜂、七六人與馬刺。

Meanwhile, Williams averaged 19.6 points, 13.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
He joined John Stockton as the only player in franchise history to average
over 19 points and 13 assists in a month. He also shot 50.4 percent from the
field and finished with 14 double-doubles in 16 games.

Williams' numbers were quite good enough, however, to keep Paul from being
named the Western Conference Player of the Month. He led the Hornets to an
11-4 record by averaging 24 points, 13.3 assists and 2.67 steals. He had at
least 10 assists in 12 of the Hornets' 15 games.

In the Eastern Conference, Atlanta's Joe Johnson. who averaged 24.9
points and seven assists and led the Hawks into playoff contention, was named
the Player of the Month.

他的成績是24.9分及7助攻，讓老鷹保有進季後賽的競爭力。

Seattle's Kevin Durant and Atlanta's Al Horford were named the Rookies of
the Month. Durant averaged 21.8 points per game. Horford averaged 11.9 points
and 8.7 rebounds.

三月的兩位最佳新人分別是Durant與Horford，
前者平均21.8分，後者平均11.9分8.7籃板。

The best exchange Wednesday after shootaround happened as Deron Williams
walked by and congratulated Sloan as he was addressing the media.

週四練完球的時候，
蝶龍走到正接受媒體採訪的老頭子面前，
向他表達了恭賀之意。

"For what?" Sloan said.

「獎什麼獎？」史龍顯然對此一無所知。

Williams reminded him he was named the Western Conference Coach of the Month
on Tuesday, just the ninth time he has earned the award.

蝶龍提醒老頭子他剛獲選為西區三月份最佳教練，
這是他生涯第九次得到這個獎項。

"Oh yeah, that's big," he said, with as little enthusiasm as he could muster.

「噢，聽起來還不賴。」語氣中完全沒有興奮之情的史龍回答。

Sloan isn't big on individual awards, and seemed uncomfortable being singled
out.

史龍才不屌什麼個人獎項，這只會讓他感到不"酥湖"。

"Basketball isn't an individual thing; if it was, I'd have to look at it with
a different perspective," he said. "It's a team game and if you don't learn
that, it probably doesn't give you much chance to win."

「籃球一個人打得起來嗎？如果能，拿獎碼卡有意義，」他如此說道，
「它是一種團隊運動，如果不能明瞭這道理，你他Χ的永遠都別想贏！」

Asked if he was upset he'd never won Coach of the Year, Sloan shrugged it
off.

接著記者又問了從來沒拿過年度最佳教練會不會讓他不爽的蠢問題。

"What does it do for you?" he said. "Do you do a cartwheel or something
because you've won? I'm not interested to be all of it. The Coach of the Year
and all that stuff should go to the team because the staff does all the work
and I just happen to be the head coach."

「得這種獎有個鳥用啊？」史龍不解道，
「你會因為得了獎而嗨到在地上打滾嗎？屁啦！」
「這些有的沒有的獎項都應該頒給球隊才對，」
「是全員合作才能有那些成就，我只是剛好坐在這位置上罷了。」

While Sloan may not feel he is deserving of individual recognition, forward
Carlos Boozer said he was.

雖然史龍一點也不覺得這是自個兒的功勞，
不過素愛逢迎諂媚的騙人布可不這麼認為。

"I'd like to see him win Coach of the Year; he's had a lot of success and he
hasn't won one yet, so I hope he does this year," he said.

「人家真的很想看他拿年度教練說...千勝教頭卻連一次都沒有耶！」
「希望就今年了啦，給個愛，好嗎？」
