from the field or something like that. Just making everything I threw up
there. I'm in the locker room after the game -- it was my rookie year -- so
Karl [Malone] was in there. He's looking at the stat sheet and he sees my
percentages and statistics and he says, 'Nice job young fella.' I said:
'Thanks Karl.' He says: 'Come back and do it for the next 16 years.' I said:
'OK.' My career high was his averages for 16 years.

杰倫在2002年1月16日對西雅圖的比賽拿下生涯最高22分，
「那天我好像是投9中9，大概吧，反正怎麼投怎麼進，」
「那時候我還只是個菜鳥，回休息室的時候老馬也在那兒，」
「他正在看球賽統計，顯然是注意到了我的數據吧，」
「他說：你這渾小子幹得還挺不賴的嘛！」
「我回了句謝謝，他又說：接下來16年也得這麼幹哪！」
「我說：喔，好...結果他16年平均都跟我生涯最高一樣高啊...好什麼好！」

that, "I gotta be confident with myself and say I'm going to have to win that
battle, maybe right now. But back then (when Malone played), maybe he

小米前陣子在被記者問到如果跟學長馬龍單挑的問題時答道：
「我是對我自己比較有信心啦，而且年輕力壯不贏說不過去吧，」
「不過那是跟現在的老馬比喔，如果是他以前還在打的時候，」
「我想我應該會被他殺很大，殺onli....」

而最近不開卡車跑去主播台畫虎蘭的老馬也有了回應：

「想幹就來。」
