The Jazz's acquistion of Kyle Korver from Philadelphia on Saturday morning is
far more than addition-by-subtraction - a favorite term used when an NBA team
ships out an unhappy player, in this case Gordan Giricek.

Korver is one of the best shooters in basketball and should flourish on a team
- unlike Philadelphia - where the opposition's defense must pay attention to
all four other players on the floor.

impact of Giricek's feud with coach Jerry Sloan. As it turned out, they
acquired a player who provides just what they need.

Allen Iverson, Korver made 226 three-point shots. With the Jazz, Korver should
find himself just as open, as teams double-team Carlos Boozer in the low-post
or collapse when Deron Williams drives to the basket.

Korver has three years and $15.4 million remaining on his contract, but if he
