釀酒有成 平添三分滋味

Ronnie Brewer made seven three-pointers in the Jazz's first 61 games.

On Wednesday night at EnergySolutions Arena, Brewer buried two three-point
shots in a 57-second span of the first quarter, pushing Utah in front for
good during an eventual 105-76 win over Minnesota.

不過週三對灰狼的比賽，他在第一節相距不到一分鐘的時間內，
就投進了兩顆三分，使爵士得以保持領先直到最終勝利。

Brewer was only 7-for-37 from the three-point line this season before
stepping into a pair of early jumpers against the Timberwolves. His first
three-pointer gave the Jazz an 18-16 lead. His second one made it 21-18.

"I just try to provide some type of energy - rebounding the ball, finishing
at the rim, knocking down shots," Brewer said. "Whatever opportunity I have,
I try to make the most of it."

Brewer finished with 16 points and a career-high eight rebounds as the Jazz
avenged a 111-100 loss at Minnesota last week. In the five games since that
hard-to-explain defeat, Brewer has averaged 15 points and made four of his
seven three-point attempts.

"I've been working on it a little," he said. "I'm not really a three-point

Carlos Boozer sees Brewer working on his perimeter jumper every day in
practice.

"His shot has gotten a lot better," Boozer said. ". . . He's getting more and
more comfortable with being out there and shooting it. And if he can spread
the floor like that - with all the other guys we have who can hit threes -
we're going to be able to take off."

After the loss at Minnesota, Brewer noticed his jump shots were often falling
just a little short, so he adjusted.

Said Boozer: "He got in here and worked on his game. He has pride to play
this game. He wanted to play better because he wants to help us win. So he
got in the gym, started working and that hard work is paying off."

As a rookie, Brewer was 0-for-9 from the three-point line, meaning he was
7-for-46 in his career before helping bury Minnesota.

亦即，如果不算對灰狼的那兩顆，他生涯至今四十六投只有七顆中過。

"He's worked at it," coach Jerry Sloan said. "From where he was a year ago,
there's no comparison. He's made dramatic strides, and all that is because he
worked hard over the summer. Now he's got to learn to keep that going because
it's not easy if you let up."

「偉哉小酒，」斯容教練如此勉勵，
「不是要跟去年比較，但他今年進步的幅度簡直難以想像，」
「去年夏天他苦練有成，現在最重要的是要持之以恆，加油，好嗎？」
