[專欄] 爵士分崩離析？威廉斯離開五大理由

爵士總教練史隆 (Jerry Sloan) 的辭職，讓球隊核心後衛威廉斯 (Deron
Williams) 面臨嚴重的批評，加上爵士最近15戰11負的戰績，整個鹽湖城
陷入混亂之中。也許這個時候，也是威廉斯該考慮換個風景的時候了。
《Bleacher Report》的專欄作家最近分析了威廉斯離開猶他的5個理由。

5、猶他為史隆的離開而憤怒

不得不說，威廉斯或多或少和史隆的辭職有點關係，至少有消息表示兩人
在某場比賽的中場休息時，發生了激烈的爭吵。事實的真相很難水落石出
，但是一點不能否認的就是，威廉斯的名字會在相當長的時間內，和史隆
的退休掛鈎。23年堅守，史塔克頓 (JohnStockton) 和馬龍 (Karl Malone
) 起碼一度接近冠軍，而在威廉斯的帶領下，爵士都沒有進過總決賽。

猶他為了爵士的離開而憤怒

Whether or not he is to blame, Williams will always be held responsible for
Sloan's resignation.
不論是不是該責怪他，Deron永遠會被認為是 Sloan辭職的原因之一。

The timing of the incident after a heated argument during halftime of a game
just a few days earlier left Williams in hot water. Sloan and Williams had
admittedly butted heads at times. It is rumored that  Sloan thought upper
management listened to Williams before him.

team had some memorable seasons and close calls. With Williams at point
guard, the Jazz never truly threatened for the title.

4. Better as a Role Player

更適合當 role player（角色球員）

Deron Williams gets more credit as a player than he currently deserves.

Deron 在球員表現方面，得到了比他目前應得的更高的評價。

He has all the tools to be a Top 10 player in the NBA, but some people
already rank him among the game's current greats.

他有那些能夠被認為是聯盟前十球員的技能，不過有些人認為他已經是這
世界上偉大球員之一了。

Deron would be better off if he was surrounded by good players, rather than
being a standout on an average team. The role of pass-first point guard would
suit his abilities better. When he's forced to shoot more than 20 times in a
game, he looks uncomfortable and out of his element.

Deron如果能夠被好球員包圍，那應該會讓他更好，而非在一個普通球隊中
的強者。當一個傳球第一的控衛，會更符合他的能力。當他被迫一場比賽

Obviously, any player would play better if they were surrounded by better
players. Deron has the ability to put up 11 or 12 assists per contest and
flourish in a system where he didn't have to be relied on to score.

Andrei Kirilenko, Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap and Raja Bell. Those are the
other four starters for the Jazz.

Some teams have more talent on their bench.

When the Jazz were 27-13, they were overachieving. Even though they will
probably still land a playoff spot, the Jazz won't threaten any of the top
four seeds in a best-of-seven series.

The Jazz will have a hard time giving up Williams because of his upside, but

人們總是會說費雪 (Derek Fisher)老了、布雷克 (Steve Blake) 防守
差，熱火也一樣，查莫斯 (Mario Chalmers) 和艾洛尤 (Carlos Arroyo)
也不是冠軍級後衛。也就是說，威廉斯在聯盟中並非沒有市場，強隊可
是非常歡迎他。

There are a fair amount of teams in the NBA that need a new point guard.
There are also teams that have serviceable ball-handlers, but an upgrade
could mean an NBA championship.

Every time the Lakers lose a game, trade talks blossom from everywhere. The

team Deron could join and have an immediate impact on, if he's willing to
watch his scoring total plummet.

Hornets or Lakers could burn out the Spurs in a long series. If the Spurs
added Williams, they'd be more likely to make a deep run and fill Duncan's
hand with a fifth championship ring.

The NBA is heading in a different direction these days. In the past, players
would try to stick out a career with a franchise and bring a title home.

Now, it's becoming common for players to form—what I like to call—
"superteams."

only difference is they don't start a new team, one player stays put and
others come to join.
