Jazz notes: Kirilenkos adopt daughter

新‧女兒魂

Andrei Kirilenko went public Saturday that he left the Jazz this week and
returned to Russia to complete the adoption of a 2-month-old girl that
Kirilenko and his wife, Masha , have named Alexandra .

ΑΚ本週突然離隊返鄉的真相終於大白，
夫婦兩人回俄羅斯是為了領養一個兩個月大的女嬰，
他們將她命名為愛麗珊德拉。

Kirilenko told Russia's Sport Express newspaper that the adoption process
began in February and was the reason he did not play for his country at last
month's European championships.

ΑΚ告訴當地媒體整個領養程序從二月就開始了，
這也是他上個月之所以無法代表國家隊出賽的原因。

The Kirilenkos already have two sons. Kirilenko missed two preseason games to
make the trip to Russia but was due to arrive in Los Angeles on Saturday
night and is expected to play in today's game.

"I think it's a special thing that he's doing," Deron Williams said. "I know
they're happy about the situation. We talked about it a lot all summer and it
was a hard process for them. It was a difficult process adopting in another
country, especially when you're leaving that country."

The Jazz deferred to Kirilenko in originally announcing that he was returning
to Russia for a family matter. As much as they hoped Kirilenko wouldn't have
to make the trip in season, it was unavoidable.

球隊原本的公開聲明只簡單提到ΑΚ返鄉是為了處理"家務事"，
背後考量是既然完成領養一定得回國，他們寧可他早去早回。

"You've got to take care of that," Williams said. "It's the preseason, so
definitely it's not a big deal. But even if it was in the regular season,
it's something he's got to take care of."

「還好現在只是熱身賽，缺席影響不大啦～」蝶龍解釋。

Having returned from Russia just before the start of training camp, Kirilenko
will have made five transcontinental trips in a little more than three weeks,
with the Jazz having played in London and Madrid, Spain, as part of the
preseason.

打從回來參加訓練營到現在三個禮拜多的時間，
ΑΚ已經又搭了五次跨國航班，包含之前去英國與西班牙的熱身賽。

"Are we concerned about it? Yeah," general manager Kevin O'Connor
acknowledged. "But do we also have nine or 10 days until we open? Yeah."

「我們當然關心這是否會影響球員狀況呀～」歐總管說，
「但還有九天十天才開季不是麼？」

The Jazz hope Kirilenko's experience with international travel will help him
get back up to speed quicker than most.

球隊希望ΑΚ在心無罣礙後可以儘快回復最佳狀態。

"We'll just have to see," coach Jerry Sloan said. "We'll probably try to play
him a little bit more when he gets back, see if we can get him a little bit
more time to see where he is and go from there."

「我們會試著想辦法多讓他上場好找回球感，其他的再說。」教皇說。
