PELLEGRINO: "I HOPE WE PUT IN A PERFORMANCE LIKE YESTERDAY’S AGAINST ROME"

In the Training Centre in Paterna this afternoon the Argentinean Mauricio
Pellegrino the good form both in the way Valencia CF are playing as well as
the results they are achieving. Our teams elegant defender knows this run has
come at the best possible moment as it is a decisive time both in the league
as well as in the UEFA Champions’ League. For Pellegrino the key phrase is
"winning is always important. When you want to be at the top with the
possibility you always need that result. Everything is judged from a good
perspective. There is a good feeling, things are going our way and the players
who are recovering have power and energy to Valencia CF. In a competitive
squad it is more difficult to play matches but it is beneficial for the team".
"Flaco” [“Skinny” as he is known] did not wish to compare this season
with last season in which Valencia won the league although he does find a
number of similarities. "To do so is difficult, they are different tournaments
and football is unpredictable. The team is having a good moment, we have worked

them in both competitions wants to share the glory with the rest of the team,
"sometimes playing in this defence is easy because the whole team really
tries to recover the ball, there is tension when we lose it our wingers and
forwards also work hard so the solidity of our team is not only thanks to the
goalkeeper and the defence. It is a very focused group and that is the main
strength".
