VALENCIA CF 2 - 2 CA OSASUNA
Valencia CF could not achieve more than a two goals tie versus Athletic
Club Osasuna, in the first leg match of the Spanish King's Cup eighths of
finals. In a controversial game starred by a misfortuned actuation of the
referee Rubinos Perez, who annulled a goal by Baraja and sent Curro Torres
off. The che team hit first with the goals scored by Angulo and Baraja, but
Osasuna took advantage of the numerical superiority that they enjoyed during
all the second half to level the scoreboard.
A very dangerous result for the second leg match to be played next
Wednesday at El Sadar stadium, in Pamplona, in which the team of Rafa Benitez
has no other choice than winning to qualify for the quarter finals.
