Hello Supporters,
Hope you're doing well. I am currently in Orange County, California, for
summer project (missions trip) briefing. We will finally be meeting our
students on our project today! I have been sitting at the registration area for
2 hours now--1 more hour to go!
We will be leaving for East Asia early Monday morning on a 7 am flight. I will
not be able to access this email account or any online socializing networks
while I am in East Asia. Meanwhile, Jodi Jean, one of my supporters, will be
sending you update emails from our team in East Asia. Look forward to emails
from her!
For the next few days, our team will be going through team norms, policies,
evangelism training, security issues, and team building with our students.
Everyday is going to be super busy!
Thank you for your continual prayers! As our team prepare for the trip and
leave for East Asia, please be praying for:
1. Health (only two people on our trip of twelve have gotten vaccinated)
2. Safety--we are going to a new campus and will probably attract a lot of attention. Pray that God will keep us safe.
3. Team unity--that God will keep us one in the Spirit and give us humble hearts so that we can serve each other in love
4. Conflict Resolution--this is probably the area that I fear the most (confrontations, etc), but I know that there will be conflicts while we're on the trip. I usually try to avoid conflicts, but pray that God will teach me how to deal with them with a good balance of grace and truth (and grow me in this area).
5. Students' hearts--that God will prepare students hearts in the next few days for the trip. That students will love God first and learn to love each other and the East Asian people.
6. Staff--pray that God will use us to love and edify the students on this project. Pray that God will provide us wisdom as to how to lead the team.
