Q:Are you having fun at the Olympics so far?
Carter: I'm having fun, but I think my mom is having more fun than I am
(laughing). I've only been to see the women's basketball game last night,
we really haven't had too much time yet to see anything else. I want to go
to track and field and I want to go to tennis. I saw Venus (Williams) and
Serena (Williams), I spoke to them at the Opening Ceremonies and talked to
them a little bit about coming out (to the game). That's what I like about
this. Regardless of the status of the athletes, everyone still takes the
time to go out  and support other sports.

Q:On how hungry and excited USA was to play
Carter: We were hungry. I didn't think we had something prove, but we were
just hungry. We played like it was our last game and we did it for 40 minutes.
They hit some shots and they had a lead early, and everybody was excited.
But, we just kept playing the same basketball. That's the beauty of it.
We managed and they had some intensity, but we'vegot 12 guys — 12 horses.
It's hard to stoop us on both ends.

Q:On playing with the USA
Carter: I keep the same mentality. Play hard, get the job done. Whether it's
my Toronto team or now, with the USA team, I'm still the same person,
the same team player. I have a lot of fun. I try to get a highlight when I
can and then go home. It's our goal to show them how hard the USA plays and
that we've got 12 star players from different teams but we can all come
together and become one sta team.
