第四節的兩個灌籃更是振奮全隊士氣，更令球迷大飽眼福～～

尤其在上半場結束前3.4秒，雙方平手時罰進了關鍵性的兩記罰球，
使得美國在大部分處於落後的情形下，得以49：47領先巴西進入下半場..

今天VC專門扮演最後得分的角色..
上半場得了美國隊最後四分，雪中送炭，使得一路落後的美國得以兩分領先上半場..
下半場得了美國隊最後五分，錦上添花，使得美國可以贏超過三十分..

"This was our first game. We wanted to see how they were going to come out.
Their energy is going to be unbelievably high and teams are going to try to
jump out on us early. The most important thing for us is to really keep our
composure and to keep playing and we did so."

"This was our first real game. It was important for us to come out and see
the way the referees were going to call, what they're not calling. So, I think
 we're going to get better as we go."

"We played within our offense. We didn't want to rush it. We have so many
guys. We have to let our big men do what they do. We can get some easy
baskets down low and that will open it up, whether it's driving to the basket
or open jump shots."
