June 2, 2005 -- The Nets' extended family increased by one yesterday.
Vince Carter and his wife, Ellen, became parents for the first time
with the birth of daughter Kai Michelle, who checked in at 6 pounds
and 19 inches. The Nets said mother, father and daughter are doing fine.
