2003, replacing Kobe Bryant who withdrew becauseof severaloff season
surgeries.

Helped lead the USA to a 10-0 record, the gold medal and a qualifying berth
for the 2004 Olympics at the Aug. 20-31 FIBA Americas Olympic Qualifying
Tournament in Puerto Rico. started in three of the 10 games, and averaged
12.6 ppg. (3rd on team), 2.4 rpg., 1.4 apg., 1.1 spg., while shooting 64.0
percent (48-75 FGs) from the field, 45.2 percent (14-31 3pt FGs) from
3-point, and 80.0 percent (16-20 FTs) from the foul line.
Carter finished the tournament ranked overall first in field goal percentage
(.640).
