Colon is not sure whether she will make the cut or not.
Because she was not picked by any team in the draft, she is a free
agent. She needs to try the camp and shows them that she is capable of
becoming a pro. From the news I read, there are about 10 players fighting
for three spots. The SPRAKS will keep 11 players but 8 were kept for the
try-out players last year. Colon knows the odds but she says that she
would have no regrets even if she doesn't make the cut.

因為WNBA網站上的交易記錄是4/25已簽約
應是已經通過所謂的trail吧

談到CONLON去 TRY OUT的事的新聞
我剛剛看到 是選秀日當天的消息(4/17)
那現在CONLON應該是已經被SPARKS簽下來了(4/25)

Conlon's situation is different from Taurasi.
She hasn't got the job yet.
If Maria didn't make the cut, she won't get any pay as a pro.
From the news I read, she said that if she didn't make the cut,
she will head back home and enjoy the summer. I think same
situation applies to players from later of the draft. In the season,
each team is allowed to have about 13 players. Each team use preseason
training to decide who will stay and who needs to go.
Here is the news I read. If Cnlon doesn't make the cut, she will get a
waive and is allowed to try other teams. I hope she make the cut, she is
such a nice kid and works so hard.

最近TAURASI在WNBA正熱
剛剛又看到MARIA COLON的簽約新聞
於是把幾個知名的UCONN球員的狀況
稍微整理一下
1.Rebecca Lobo C 宣布退休
是個UConn傳奇球員
1995年首次球季（35-0）的主要人物
也是WNBA創始元老之一
在Liberty打了五年球
1999年第一場球膝蓋前十字韌帶受傷
於是錯失當季及2000年所有球賽
於2002年被交易到Comet
2003年康州成立新球隊
Lobo也回到他的家鄉為Sun效力
2004球季前 Lobo宣布退休
2.Nykesha Sales F/G Sun
在Dee破紀錄之前的UConn得分紀錄保持人
1995年的Big East Rookie of the Year
入選過Kodak All-American, AP All-American...
1999年進入WNBA 加入奧蘭多Miracle
後2003年 Miracle解散 Sun成立

6.Swin Cash F Shock
2002年UConn四虎
當年以第二順位被Shock選走

在UConn習慣贏球的SWIN 終於在2003年

7.Sue Bird G Storm
2002年UConn四虎
當年以選秀狀元姿態加入Storm
連續兩年入選ALL-WNBA第一隊 以及明星賽先發
是WNBA的看板人物之一
2003年助攻排名第二（沙加緬度的TICHIA第一）
在剛加入球季的第一年（2002年）即與2001年的選秀狀元LJ聯手
將Storm送入PLAYOFFS 但第一場即遇到當年的冠軍隊SPARKS
以直落二被淘汰
2003年 LJ打出狀元身價 可惜SUE的ACL舊傷發作 影響表現
以及Storm的傷兵過多 未能進入PLAYOFFS
SUE在今年三月 與STORM續約 將繼續與LJ和Ann Donovan並肩作戰

UConn有個球員Shea Ralph很可惜,在大四受了傷後
雖然Utah還是有選她,不過還是不行了,非常可惜

我不清楚呢
不過 沒參加選秀 可以直接簽約嗎？
這問題的解答 我正在尋找資料中
三月那時是有看到新聞說CONLON可能不會進入職業球壇
不過現在忘記詳細內容 也暫時找不到那篇報導
所以今天看到CONLON的交易記錄 有點驚訝
有沒有善心人士知道哪詳細的情況呢

我剛剛看了WNBA站上 選秀前的選手名單 裡面沒有CONLON
但是她標題是寫some of the top prospects for the 2004 Draft
這是代表他沒有參加選秀嗎
還是他並不屬於她們所謂的TOP呢
但是 名單總共有60人
PG+SG有 23人
我怎麼都不覺得CONLON連23名都排不上
但是 沒參加選秀可以直接簽約嗎
這我還需要再研究一下
