Nipples-James' Autumn CD
RECOMMENDED!!! Nipples are a band from Taipei, Taiwan. They create a magical,
enchanting, and intoxicating blend of semi-discordant guitar pop reminiscent
of Blonde Redhead or Sonic Youth at times, but also incorporating organ sounds
amidst the heady mix to craft an ultimate high in listening pleasure. They
glide easily between cacophonous shoegazer noisepop to post-rock slowcore,
and back to dynamic drone bliss. One moment as soft and pretty as Low, the
next as intensely gratifying as My Bloody Valentine. They have quite a
fondness for a wide-range of musical styles too - some of which exude in
their music - from Belle and Sebastian to Bettie Serveert, Radiohead to
Yo La Tengo. Female vocals accompany the music perfectly too. All-around
great stuff. 10 tracks, 47 minutes. Taiwan import.
