大略說一下我做bootskin的方法
我使用的軟體是PhotoImpact10
我轉出來的圖的確只有16色
只是我想盡量讓大部分的色數都落在我的主題(人物)上
所以我先將背景單純化
原圖

大小與bootskin的要求640X480不同
所以要調整
先到調整->調整大小 高度調到480像素
要維持原圖比例 否則影像會變形

接著擴大底框 使寬度變成640像素

完成後右方會有空白部分

使用色彩選擇工具(吸管)大致選個背景色

使用色彩填充工具(油漆桶) 將白色部分填充為剛選的背景色

使用魔術棒工具 將類似的色彩選取(注意藍色虛線)

再次使用色彩填充工具 將選取範圍填充成單一色彩

對人物另一邊的背景進行同樣的動作

將所有背景色處理成單一色彩之後就變成這樣

最後加上文字(使用文字工具)

使用 調整->轉換影像類型->最佳化16色 將原本的圖案變成16色圖

其實稍微看原圖和轉換後圖片 還是很容易發現色彩的失真
但是受於16色的限制 我想最多只能如此了
