Hailing from Orange County, California,
(hed) p.e. fuse the sounds of the area punk revival scene
with G-funk-inflected hip-hop, a sound the band tagged "G-punk."
The group's lineup includes vocalist M.C.U.D.,
guitarists Wesstyle and Chizad, bassist Mawk, drummer B.C.,
and turntable operator DJ Product.
(hed) p.e. self-released an EP entitled Church of Realities in 1995;
two years later, their self-titled debut full-length appeared
on the Silvertone label. In mid-2000, the band issued Broke. — Steve Huey
