的專輯就知道什麼是bluegrass................
這兩張現在台灣都買得到，原聲帶環球代理歐版，
Alison Krauss最近被一家公司代理美版，售價四百多..但絕對值得..

對這種音樂類型的認識也不算深入
就我所知的稍微講一下......
bluegrass之所以名為bluegrass
主要是因為bluegrass之父Bill Monroe的樂團
bluegrass boys而來 這個團成立於四零年代晚期
他們的音樂風格主要承襲三四零年代的鄉村音樂
音樂的節奏通常較重較快 演唱者的鼻音濃重
(後一特色以早期者較為突出 其他的特色
本人國文程度不佳 請自行體會)
使用的伴奏樂器主要是fiddle 曼陀鈴
五弦的斑鳩琴 吉他等
而Bill Monroe重唱Jimmie Rodgers的"Mlue Skinner Blues"
也成了Bluegrass的標準曲式(或許你聽了這首歌就知道什麼叫bluegrass)
他在1970年獲選進入鄉村名人堂
而在1993年得到葛來美終身成就獎
其他bluegrass的代表性人物有Flatt & Scruggs
(原來Bluegrass Boys的成員)
Osborne Bros.
Stanley Bros.
近期的則有Keith Whitley
Ricky Skaggs
Alison Krauss & Union Station等

另外 Dolly Parton的前一張專輯The Grass Is Blue
以及美國新生代鄉村樂團Nickel Creek 走的都是這種曲風

在此補充一下
Fiddle是小提琴
曼陀鈴是Mandolin
斑鳩琴是Banjo
吉他則是指Dobro 一種鋼弦的吉他
有的人喜歡把他擺在大腿上彈奏
基本上 Dobro跟Banjo好像是Bluegrass必備的樂器
