[情報] Vazquez to Braves

ATLANTA -- Javier Vazquez is coming to Atlanta, and as long as everything
goes well with his physical, he'll serve as the first piece to Braves general
manager Frank Wren's rotation-reconstruction process.
According to a source with knowledge of the negotiations, the Braves and
White Sox have agreed to terms on a six-player trade that will bring
right-hander Vazquez and left-handed reliever Boone Logan to Atlanta.

Vazquez will arrive in Atlanta early on Wednesday afternoon to undergo a
physical. The deal could be formally announced by both teams later that day
or on Thursday.

From a five-player list provided by the Braves, the White Sox have chosen
four players. Two of those players are believed to be shortstop Brent
Lillibridge and Minor League catcher Tyler Flowers, who greatly improved his
stock while hitting .387 with 12 homers in 20 Arizona Fall League games this
year.

The White Sox have also chosen two other players who are yet unidentified,
but contrary to earlier reports, the Braves never offered left-handed pitcher
Jo-Jo Reyes.

While Vazquez doesn't provide the Braves the top-caliber starting pitcher
they've been seeking, he does provide a solid veteran presence that their
rotation currently lacks. The 32-year-old right-hander has won at least 10
games and completed at least 198 innings during each of the past nine
seasons.
