08/09/2008 8:15 PM ET White Sox righty departs in second after hurting left leg By David Just / MLB.com CHICAGO -- White Sox right-hander Jose Contreras, making his first start since returning from the 15-day disabled list, left Saturday's game in the top of the second inning with a ruptured left Achilles' tendon. Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury hit a ground ball to first that Nick Swisher fielded, then tossed to Contreras on the run. Contreras couldn't hold on to the ball and limped past the first-base bag before falling to the ground in pain. White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, accompanied by team trainers, inspected the right-hander before escorting Contreras off the field several minutes later. Ellsbury was given a single on the play, and D.J. Carrasco came on in relief of Contreras -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.160.74.179
