CHICAGO (AP)—Free-agent catcher Ramon Castro has agreed to return to the Chicago White Sox for a $1 million, one-year contract. Castro gets $800,000 this year, and the White Sox have a $1.2 million option for 2011 with a $200,000 buyout. Castro came to the White Sox in a trade from the New York Mets last May for pitcher Lance Broadway. As a backup to A.J. Pierzynski, Castro batted .184 with four homers and 12 RBIs in 31 games for Chicago. In 26 games with the Mets, he hit .253 with three homers and 13 RBIS. He threw out 22.5 percent (9 of 40) of attempted basestealers last season. Castro was behind the plate when Mark Buehrle pitched a perfect game against Tampa Bay on July 23. The White Sox announced the deal on Tuesday. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.171.141.219
