I caught some buzz from other observers that people are concerned about his
swing: they don't like the way it looks, kind of "choppy" was how one person
described it to me. Scouts were also downplaying his range, and at least one
person I spoke with said Beckham really didn't look like a guy who was
drafted in the first round. I will admit that he did not strike me either
strongly positive or strongly negative in the one game I saw him play. I
wouldn't make too much of this just yet, we need to see more out of him, but
some people are concerned.

不過他在AFL 打出足以讓他明年可以擔任替補捕手的成績

Aaron Poreda, LHP, '07 第一輪25順位
近期有關白襪新秀排名應該都是第一名的Poreda
今年已經在A+ 及2A 投了161局，在AFL 扮演的角色是中繼投手
11/1之前的成績是7IP 0R 6H 11K 3BB
不過11/4 0.2IP 就被爆了5分(有3分是後面的投手送的)
沒意外的話，明年會從3A 出發，順利的話會在九月看到他debut。
Jordan Danks, OF, '08第七輪
John Danks 的弟弟，很晚才下定決心和白襪簽約
有速度，有選球，守備也很棒
或許可以開始想像Danks 兄弟檔同場先發的景象了。
John Sickels 說還要觀察他的power
可能成為Steve Finley、Brady Anderson 的類型。
