Serena Williams Exits French Open

PARIS (AP) -- A nagging left knee injury forced Serena Williams to withdraw
from the French Open just hours before Friday's draw.

Williams, the U.S. Open champion, was seeded eighth but had been out for more
than a month with the injury.
