"I felt really relaxed," said Williams. "I haven't felt this way in a long
time."
"I almost could have played Wimbledon," she added.
"I was about 60 or 70% then. But I probably would have had an embarrassing
loss."
"I was surprised myself, because I wasn't serving that well in practice,"
said the American.
She added that her aim was to rise up from the relatively disappointing
ranking of 140th in the world.
"It's devastating," said the former world number one. "But I have no pressure
on me. I have nowhere to go but up."
"I could have returned better. I made a few easy errors I shouldn't have
made," she said.
"Maybe I was the underdog," Williams said.
"I think there's definitely some rust there still but I think mentally I did
better than I thought I was going to do," Williams told reporters.
"What I missed most was the competition," said the seven-time Grand Slam
winner, who has now won all five career meetings with Myskina.
"I've always said, I love to win whether it's a match or a tournament. I love
winning. I think I missed that a lot."
