小威因為右腳大拇趾不適退賽
記者會上說可能因為這幾週下來打的都蠻激烈的
所以去年因為玻璃割傷的右腳比較不舒服
去年小威受傷的時候因為割到韌帶
造成他的右腳拇趾無力才決定要立即動手術
不過他也說了現在的感覺跟最糟的時候比起來不算什麼
摘錄一段小威的記者會:
"It's not nearly extreme, it's just a bit of an aggravation because I think
I've been pounding it a lot and playing a lot," Williams said. "I don't think
this is a good time for me to take a big chance. I just don't think that's
smart.
"I'm definitely disappointed, but at the same time I have a lot to look
forward to."
小威因為是賽前退賽 因此並不算在敗場次之中
從溫網之後的十二連勝繼續累計 希望美網能拿出最佳狀態應戰
