Venus Williams Withdraws from Beijing’s China Open

Former world number one Venus Williams will be missing in action at the
upcoming China Open in Beijing.

Article Comments (0) According to WTA Tour spokesperson Gina Clement,
Williams has withdrawn from one of the tennis season’s biggest combined
ATP/WTA Tour events due to a knee injury.

“Venus’ reason for withdrawal was a left knee injury,” said Clement in
comments reported by the AFP.

Williams has been absent from the WTA Tour since her semifinal US Open loss
to Kim Clijsters last month
