“It’s always great to get a win against a player like Victoria (Azarenka)
because she is a champion. She hasn’t been playing as much, so I know she is
probably still looking for her range. I think her unforced errors will clear
up with the more matches she plays. I think that’s why she is here as well,
just to get the extra matches in like me. I just started playing more
aggressive at the right times. I was mentally prepared to play this match.”

“The tiebreaker felt great. Of course, I would have liked to pull the match
out earlier. That’s what I need, that challenge in these tournaments to
really raise my game. Toward the end of the second set, I think she was
gaining momentum and starting to feel her range more. So it was nice to close
in out in the second. Both of use played at a high level and it just got
better as the match went on.”
