“She played really well and I wasn’t as on today as previous days. You’re
going to have days like that and just have to work through them. I think I
came really close but she’s been having a great year and just managed to
play those last few games a little better.”

“I think I’m use to the quick turnarounds. As we get later in the draw, that
’s expected to play late matches and then in the afternoon. Conditions are
different during the day. I was having a hard time controlling the flight of
the ball, so I struggled with that. Her ball is a little different, in that
she hits a lot lower so just trying to find that control. I also think
sometimes as a bigger hitter, you tend to maybe go off a little more. I tried
to work through it but just fell a little bit short.”
