Jittery Jackson looks to Venus for support Claire Curran's doubles partner Jamea Jackson has secured a glamour second round singles clash with Daniela Hantuchova. Jackson, who recently shocked Maria Sharapova at the dfs Classic in Birmingham, will play with Curran later in the week but first she will face the number 15 seed from Slovakia. And while initially admitting to feeling nervous about the Wimbledon experience, unseeded 19-year-old Jackson is starting to enjoy the increasing attention from the American media. "I think any time you come to play a Grand Slam there's the nerves that come with it. I think the rain delay actually helped me to settle down and get the jitters out," said Jackson, who has been encouraged by reigning Wimbledon champion Venus Williams. "It was really cool today, Venus came up and talked to me. She kind of talked me through things. I was honoured, you know, for that. She's awesome, I've always been a big fan. I just need to stay focused." Jackson set up tonight's clash with Hantuchova after defeating Belgian Kirsten Flipkens 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. Former Wimbledon champion Martina Hingis also plays tonight in a second round meeting with Tathiana Garbin. Meanwhile, Greg Rusedski has admitted that he will consider his future following yesterday's first round exit at the hands of former Australian Open champion Marat Safin. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.57.114.66
