On the contrary, Venus Williams, whose health problems have been a concern
recently,
has confirmed her arrival after having pulled out of several
tournamnets in a row.
The J&S Cup 2004 and last year`s Wimbledon Champion is
expected to arrive in Warsaw as soon as on April 28th.
大威加油! 大威在此項比賽一向成績出色
這比賽的前身是漢堡女網賽
這項比賽還在漢堡舉行時 大威是兩屆冠軍 一屆亞軍
2003年開始搬到華沙以後 大威兩度參賽 一屆冠軍 一屆亞軍
且兩次在決賽輸球都是因傷被逆轉
2002是左小腿受傷 6-1 3-6 4-6被Kim Clijsters逆轉
2003是腹肌拉傷 7-6(6) 0-6 0-3退賽 負於Amelie Mauresmo
另外三次奪冠的決賽紀錄是
1999以6-0 6-3打敗隔年的法網冠軍Mary Pierce
2001以6-3 6-0打敗同胞Meghann Shaughnessy
2004以6-1 6-4打敗兩度法網對冠軍擁有賽末點被逆轉.當年美網冠軍Svetlana Kuznetsova
三位都是紅土成績很不錯的選手
希望大威今年也能在華沙有好表現
