Zina Garrison的訪問 上面談大威 下面談小威
還說他賭小威冠軍贏了不少錢
"Venus is ready to return to competition and we are excited that she is eager
to come back to the U.S. Fed Cup team," said Garrison, who has until 10 days
prior to the start of the quarterfinal to name the other three members of her
team. "She will provide the type of veteran leadership that can help us to
achieve our ultimate goal of bringing the Fed Cup back to the United States."
"Actually, Venus contacted me at the end of November, somewhere in November,
basically said she was really interested in playing Fed Cup this year, really
looking forward to coming back and trying to bring the cup back to the United
States," Garrison told the media in a conference call today. "I do know she's
been training exceptionally hard. The thing I like the most, the fact that I
actually tried to get her to come out to the press conference here in Delray
[but it conflicted with her practice schedule]. She likes to stick to her
schedule. When she does that, that means she's very focused on what she needs
to do and what she wants to do, and she's not really veering from it. That's
always a great sign."

"I'm really not a betting person, but I actually won a couple hundred dollars
[betting on Serena to win the Australian Open]," Garrison revealed today.
"When I saw her in the round of 16 [beat Jelena Jankovic, 6-3, 6-2], I
thought she was hitting the ball well, but the most important thing she was
very eager and hungry to get back on the court. That's probably the best
match I've ever seen her play when she played Sharapova [in the final]; and a
lot of people are trying to figure out what Sharapova did wrong, but Serena
did everything right."
"I've been in talks with Jill Smoller, her agent, and I'm looking forward to
trying to have her here," Garrison said. "I think it [Venus' participation]
gives us a lot of the edge. If I was here, I would like to play and practice
with people you know and like and Delray is a great place to play as well."
"I'm not trying to think Serena won't play and trying to stay up on the
positive end," Garrison said. "I think it would be a great added asset.
Jamea's been injured, we have Shenay, Vania, Ashley and Lisa Raymond...Vania
is an exciting player, I love Vania's heart; I don't just like it, I love it.
She's a hard worker, she wants to be a champion and I definitely think she
has the capabilities. I always compare her hands to Lindsay Davenport."
"I think we might have an opportunity to play against Clijsters," Garrison
said. "I think she might play because it's her last time. Justine, I think
we'll have to see the way it's gonna go."
