"I didn't play well at all," said Williams, who was coming off her ninth
Grand Slam singles title. "I started off really solid then my level dropped.
In the third set she played really well and I didn't, and that was the
difference. If you make that many unforced errors like I did at the end, you
don't deserve to win the match."
我打得不好 我剛開始的時候打得真的不錯 可是後來狀態下滑了
第三盤他真的打的很好而我並沒有那樣的表現 這就是差距
如果你打出這麼多失誤你就不值得贏下比賽
"To be quite honest I don't deserve it playing like that; I have to step it
up and I will," Williams said. "I've been No.1 before and held it for a long
time, so I know how that feels. At this stage of my career the titles are
what matter to me - like this tournament. Winning the US Open this year and
returning to No.1 after five years was an absolute highlight. I want to try
and finish the year in that position."
說實話我不該打成那樣 我得提升自己的狀態 我一定會提升的
我之前已經當過很長一段時間的世界第一 所以我懂那樣的感覺
在我職業生涯的這個階段冠軍對我來說是更重要的
贏下美網跟五年後重返第一都絕對是很棒的亮點
我想試著繼續坐在那個位置結束這個賽季
