Hi,
Several of you sent me email to ask for the guidance. Below are some of them.
1. You can write an article for survey/compare certain mechanism on modern
operating system. For instance, you can conduct an extensive survey on signal
handling mechanism on different OS, how suspend() is implemented in Linux or
any OS.
2. You can write a program to evaluate the performance of a mechanism covered
in our class.
3. Conduct the exercises in the text book. You need to let me know which
questions you would like to answer.
Below are poor proposal. Please don't send them to me.
Dear professor, I want to write an interesting program which can do xx, yy,
zzz.
I cannot see how it is related to this course and cannot accept this
proposal. Post your questions in this forum if any.
