Margaret Mahy（1936年3月21日）、出生於紐西蘭北島的Whakatane。是紐西蘭的

奇幻文學以及兒童文學作家。她在七歲時寫下她第一個故事。

她於1955年畢業於Auckland University College＆Canterbury University College，

之後在紐西蘭各地的圖書館擔任圖書館員，現在在基督城的圖書館服務，

1969年出版她第一本書 A Lion in the Meadow。

2006年獲得國際安徒生獎。
