i would have to agree and disagree about record stores putting an album out
earlier than theier relase date it think its good that they put the cd out for
the fans who cant wait to get there hands on a specific album i for one got
oialt today the release date is not until tommorow but i am one of those dt
fans who is happy and egar to get that cd take it home and listen to it before
anyone else but on the other hand i feel bad cause you are right there was an
agreed release date for the cd and stores should hold to the date but then
again it all comes down to money hungry buiseness owners oialt is a great
album nice job guys

I can see the point that the possibility for abuse is there (certain
dealers making deals with certain shippers to get copies in before
other dealers to undercut them), but I'm not sure what the hit really
is. Only a small percentage of the market cares about being
among the "first" to get an album. Plus, you'd only be talking about
a few days difference, and how many sales really? A couple
hundred? A couple thousand (maybe)?

sorry, i'm just kidding around. I must admit he does sound kinda
stupid in interviews, but I still like his work. but in the spirit of
nonviolent protest, hold whatever opinion you want. i'm just trying to
think of it this way: would JLB have been criticized similarly on the
grounds that he was previously in a glam band? just remember, your
opinion on the topic may change when we hear the next studio album. if
you're sure it won't, then why even listen? ;)

I've heard Sunday the new live album,and I want to disagree with who say
that is a great album.I don't like it so much.The mix is really bad,the
Portnoy's bass-drum is recorded very bad and is mixed with a too high
volume.LaBrie's voice is a shit on this live,I can't believe is him!A
friend told me that a few days before or maybe only 1 or 2 days,they made
the Rotterdam only for fanclubs show,and LaBrie gave all at this show,and
arrived to Paris with that voice.I don't understand why they don't released
the Rotterdam concert.
There are maybe 2 bootleg that are better of these 2 cd.The rotterdam one
it's fantastic,better recorded,well mixed,LaBrie is incredible.Look out for it!

To a small business owner, losing the revenues from even 30-40
customers that would have purchased the product in their store had
the album been released on the same date makes a big impact on thier
budget.
Now multiply the scenario.. are we really to beleive that the store
owner who puts out one album early in order to get an early jump on
the market...don't do it with all of them?!?

i never said that i don't apriciate dereks abilities (i think jens
johanson is much better and DT should have gone wtih him)... but i read
an interview with derek where he managed, in one fell swoop, to bag
progressive music, numerous great progressive bands (INCLUDING OLD DREAM
THEATER!!!!), and said DT wasn't any good till he came along.. that's
why i don't like derek.. it has nothing to do with his pop background
(what's up the prince tribute!!) it has to do with him being a pric..
BTW.. you took my comments way out of context by snipping out small

this can be answered by anyone.
i just got the new live album today (obviously), and i wanted to know if you
all have the same problem as me.
on the song, "voices", at about 4:00-4:25 in the song (and in various other
places), james' voice sounds like it is skipping and/or broken up. my
question is: is it just my cd skipping, or is it the way the show was
recorded? i tried it in two different cd players with the same result. does
everyone have this problem? someone please email me back as soon as
possible. i would hate to return the cd, when there's nothing wrong with it.

Hello there.....I was listening to the song voices to see if it skips but I
don't find that it does on my copy... His voice IS a bit sore like he has a
cold but I don't notice any skipping....I hope this info, even though it is
not a lot, helps!

yup the same thing happens on mine. and my CD player is brand new, and there
are no scratches or anything on the CD. There must be something wrong with the
mix. Or the tape they used to record on had a defect. It's still pretty odd
how it only effects the vocals though

i got the cd monday and i havent experienced anything like that maybe
its a defective cd take it back to were you got it and get another one see if
