『模型動畫』（Claymation Animation）是全由陶土模型拍攝而成，拍攝採一個
畫面一個畫面定態拍攝，連續播放宛如活動般，因此也被稱為"動畫"的一種。
這種動畫拍攝非常耗時，不亞於手繪動畫，往往五秒鐘的畫面要花去三個工作天
才能完成。目前已經推出的兩部作品都是由迪士尼公司和科幻大師Tim Burton
工作室所合作的，其中【聖誕夜驚魂】因為風格詭異，因此交由迪士尼子公司正
金石來發行。
