迪士尼公司在１９９４年將他的娛樂王國領域又擴大了，那就是推出了
迪士尼第一部音樂劇【美女與野獸】（Beauty and the Beast），之後
推出的【獅子王】（The Lion King）甚至拿下六座東尼獎。迪士尼的
音樂劇題材方面，除了由迪士尼動畫改編而來之外，其他也由聖經故事
或是古典歌劇等方面取材。

1994 年 4 月 8 日：美女與野獸（Beauty and the Beast）－紐約
1997 年 5 月 21 日：大衛王（King David）－紐約
1997 年 11 月 13 日：獅子王（The Lion King）－紐約
1998 年 9 月 17 日：阿依達（Aida）－亞特蘭大
1999 年 6 月 6 日：鐘樓怪人（The Hunchback of Notre Dame）－柏林
