The Impossible Dream 是百老匯音樂劇 Man of La Mancha (夢幻騎士) 其中一首相當
有名的曲子。Man of La Mancha 為 Dale Wasserman 的創作。曾被改編成電影和電視
劇。此劇中劇是以西班牙小說人物 Don Quixote (唐吉訶德) 及其作者 Cervantes
Saavedra (塞曼提斯) 為主角。Don Quixote 藉由此首 The Impossible Dream 道出
「知其不可而為之」的夢想，相當令人感動。
